Presenter: Garry Whittaker
Garry's presentation will outline how a career public servant transformed his own catastrophic medical crisis - a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) into an international platform for advocacy and awareness of brain fitness, invisible disabilities and neuroplasticity education.
Garry will share his journey of rehabilitation including the four pillars of his recovery as well as his personal insights into brain fitness and cognitive wellbeing. He will explain why learning about 'neuroplasticity' matters and what you can do to enhance your understanding. Garry will also reveal what the latest research is telling us about the links between brain training and dementia prevention, what his TBI taught him and what he taught his neurologist.
Registration is free but a gold coin is required to attend the session.
