Presenter: Ann Brewster
Much of Australia's history has been shaped by the sea. From the days of early exploration and settlement to now, a vast array of ships have helped forge Australia's development and identity. Along with learning something about the ships themselves, you'll hear stories of some of the people on board and how they influenced the development of our nation.
Do you know who has more statues in Australia than Queen Victoria? What acclaimed writer/artist came to Australia on a refugee boat? What ship evacuated the people of Mallacoota during the 2019 bushfire? To find out the answers to these and more jump on board for a fascinating sea journey into our remarkable history!
There will be a break for a cuppa within each session.
Registration is free but a gold coin is required to attend the session.
