Where's the Justice?

What really happens after someone enters the justice system? Drawing on more than 25 years working across courts, prisons, community corrections, parole and custodial review, Bronwyn Boyle offers an insider’s view of how the different parts of Justice connect.

From courtroom administration and supervising offenders in the community, to prison reviews, women’s custodial services, parole boards and work inside a maximum-security custody centre, Bronwyn has seen the system from many angles.

This presentation will explore what has changed over the decades, what surprisingly hasn’t, and the realities behind punishment, rehabilitation, risk, release and community safety. Along the way, Bronwyn will share observations and stories that reveal the human side of a system most people only ever see through headlines, television and court reports.

There will be time for a cuppa and questions.
