QANTAS, one of the worlds' oldest airlines, has a turbulent and fascinating history which is an important part of our Nation's story.

This session will begin with a viewing of a 1962 documentary entitled 'The Big Boomerang" which is the story of QANTAS T-model Ford beginnings to the revolutionary Boeing 707.

Then we will explore the introduction of the 747 and its impact on international travel. The presenter was deeply involved in the 747's introduction to the Qantas fleet and will relate memories of its early days.

A coffee break will be included during the session.

Early arrival to assist setting up the room would be appreciated.
