Presenter: Vickie Burkinshaw
Vickie Burkinshaw is a community advocate, writer and facilitator dedicated to creating safer, more connected communities. With experience across domestic and family violence prevention, not-for-profit leadership and community story telling Vickie brings a unique blend of compassion, insight and practical wisdom to her work.
For International Women's Day 2026, she will speak with U3A on the theme "Women Who Build Change from the Ground Up", exploring how everyday acts of courage, creativity and community care shape a more equal world. Her presentation will weave real stories, lessons from her advocacy and reflections on women's resilience across generations
