Planning care for yourself and/or loved ones.  What you need to know.

Includes: how to minimise the perils of living alone, getting an Aged Care Assessment, the Commonwealth Home Support Program, accessing respite care, levels of home care, waiting times, retirement villages, nursing homes and changes to the Aged Care Act that starts on November 1st and assessing costs for a pensioner or self-funded retiree.  There are traps for the unwary.  There will be time for interaction, discussion and questions. 

Dedicated to the memory of Frank Skinner who tested the aged care system.

The session will be complemented by later presentations on palliative care, further help on any of the topics listed here and research being conducted by CSU.
