Registration for this event opens on 27 October 2025
Presenter: Maree Bernoth
We are all ageing and we have been successful in reaching our milestones. In doing this, we share valuable knowledge and that knowledge needs to be captured to dispel stereotypes of older people and to teach the younger generations about ageing. Being old does not mean being distant to society, being redundant or not contributing.
In this presentation, I will provide a brief coverage of my journey to becoming an academic through researching the experiences of older people and their families. I have developed innovative ways to include older people in teaching aspiring health professionals and will discuss those with you and ask for your thoughts. With your wisdom and experience, you can contribute, so part of the presentation will be interactive.
So come equipped with your thoughts to share and questions to discuss and we can spend the time learning from, and with, each other. Continuing to contribute.
