Irish-Australian Lives

This four-session course focuses on the lives of four Irish-born people who became famous - or infamous - in 19th and early 20th century Australia.
They had diverse backgrounds and careers. One was a substantial landowner and promoter of irrigation in the Riverina; one was Attorney-General of NSW and prosecutor in an famous trial; one was a prominent archbishop in Melbourne; and one was a nun in Wagga Wagga.
Come along and find out about the Irish context that shaped their lives, and what led to their fame - or notoriety - in Australia.
There will be a brief tea/coffee break, (maybe bring your own cup). Time also for questions.
