Presenter: Gerome Brodin
For 20 years Gerome Brodin was employed at the Junee Correctional Centre as the Cultural Adviser/Cultural Strategic Coordinator.
During this time he was responsible for organising multi cultural programs and events and raising money for local charities through inmate art exhibitions.
Gerome was awarded the Australian GEO Employee of the year in 2013, and in 2019, the National Service Medal.
In 2025 he was granted life membership to the Nganampa Barangarai Team for recognition of 14 years service to the Black Wallaby Project, providing a voice for Indigenous inmates through poetry, story writing and art.
Currently Gerome is employed with Wagga Wagga Community Corrections as a Field Officer. His duties include supervising clients undergoing Community Service in Wagga Wagga and surrounding towns.
The focus of this talk will be about Rehabilitation and Reintegration.
