BBC 'Pride and Prejudice'
Registrations for this event open on 12th May 2025
Presenter: Frank Molloy
It's thirty years since the ground-breaking adaption of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' appeared on television. Yes I am sure many of you have seen it, either when the series first appeared in 1995 or when it was repeated a year or two later. However, you might be curious how it stands up to the passage of time. And if you have never seen it, you might wonder what all the hype was about. Starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth in the main roles and a host of other well-known actors in other roles, the series was judged 'the best TV drama ever'. We'll judge if it still deserves such an accolade.
Registration is free but a gold coin required to attend every session.
