Coming from a large family, at the age of 25 I wanted to travel. Australia seemed to be the place to go, and not far from home.

I arrived in Wagga in January 1981 with my young son. After working for NZ Telecom for 8 years, I couldn't get a job with Telecom Wagga until I did the induction course in August of that year. So the next few jobs were housekeeping, cleaning in hotels, driving Taxis, anything to make a $$. Got married, coached Wagga Netball teams, adopted twin girls, volunteered within the community, Primary schools & my local Football/Netball club.

Received two life memberships in recent years. Five years ago, sold our business & our farm that we lived on for nearly 40 years, and moved to town. As much as I miss the farm, it was a 5-year plan to downsize. Life is great.
