Dr Wendy De Luca: Teaching and other adventures in Nepal

Presenter: Dr Wendy De Luca

Dr Wendy De Luca teaches in Adult and Vocational Education at Charles Sturt University, Wagga.

She has a special interest in global education, and since 2015 she has led several short-term international placements for teacher education students in Nepal. The programme facilitates academic inquiry in relation to broad global issues as well as cultural issues associated with education in Nepal.  Many participants report that the experience enhances their teaching practice in Australia in surprising and unexpected ways; with funny, confronting, and moving adventures along the way.
